Parking
Visitor Parking
Visitors must park in the spaces marked for visitors near the Erie Avenue (Main Entrance) doors of the school. Visitors usually enter the parking lot through the guarded K Street gate, near the corner of K and Sedgley Streets.
During large volume activities such as concerts, graduations, report card conferences, etc., special entrances will be available and security will provide directions.
The use of the parking area is at your own risk. CAP will not be responsible for damage or theft from any vehicle. Parking in our lot is a privilege. CAP reserves the right to search all vehicles using our lot. All vehicles must have a current owners card, insurance and inspection appropriate for the state in which it is registered. All drivers must have a current driver's license.
The Erie Avenue gate will remain open until 7:30 AM during school hours. During arrivals traffic is prohibited in LOT A (main lot) between 7:30am and 8am for student safety. After 7:30 am all vehicles must enter and leave via the K Street gate.
For the safety of our students, all traffic is prohibited from entering or leaving the lot during dismissal from 2:30pm until 3:10pm (12:45pm to 1:15pm every Wednesday or any "B" schedule). Please keep these times in mind when scheduling appointments.
Staff Parking
Parking in our lot is by permit only, therefore, it is important that your permit is visible. A number of spaces are marked "reserved" and are assigned. Employees with reserved spaces have been notified. If you have a reserved spot and find that someone has parked there, leave a message with the front security desk so it can be addressed. However, as you can understand, circumstances may not allow an immediate response. Therefore park in an unassigned space until the situation can be resolved.
Any questions regarding parking should be forwarded to Operations Manager by email. Parking maps are available on the second floor information area in the staff room 206. New, or replacement, parking permit stickers are available at the main lobby security desk.
