Student Life at CAP

At Community Academy of Philadelphia (CAP), student life extends far beyond the classroom. Every day, students have opportunities to discover new interests, build meaningful friendships, develop leadership skills, and create lasting memories in a safe, supportive, and family-oriented community.

From spirited pep rallies and school-wide celebrations to community service projects, athletic competitions, cultural events, and local and international educational travel, CAP provides experiences that help students grow academically, socially, and personally. Whether participating in after-school clubs, student organizations, leadership opportunities, or hands-on experiential learning, every student is encouraged to find their passion and become an active member of our school community.

We believe that education is about preparing students not only for college and careers, but for life. Through the arts, athletics, service learning, and cultural experiences, students are challenged to think creatively, collaborate with others, and develop the confidence to succeed in an ever-changing world.

At CAP, every student has the opportunity to:

  • Join a variety of clubs, organizations, and extracurricular activities
  • Participate in athletics and school spirit events
  • Explore visual and performing arts
  • Engage in community service and leadership opportunities
  • Experience local, national, and international experiential education
  • Build lifelong friendships in a welcoming and inclusive environment
  • Develop the character, responsibility, and life skills needed for future success

Student life at CAP is about more than attending school—it's about belonging to a community where every student is encouraged to learn, lead, serve, and thrive.
