Growing Together This Summer

Dear CAP Families,

Summer is a wonderful time to relax, recharge, and create lasting memories with family. While our classrooms may be quieter, exciting things are happening behind the scenes as we prepare for another incredible school year.

This month, we're excited to share updates on our Urban Eco Lab initiative, upcoming events, ways to get involved, and opportunities to help us continue building a brighter future for our students.

As always, thank you for being an important part of the CAP family. Together, we can continue creating meaningful experiences for every Bruin.

Warmly,
Stephanie Ocasio
Community & Family Engagement Coordinator

🌱 Urban Eco Lab Spotlight: Growing the Future at CAP

Imagine a place where students can step outside the classroom to plant a garden, observe pollinators, collect weather data, and discover science through hands-on learning.

That vision is becoming reality through the CAP Urban Eco Lab—an outdoor classroom designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and environmental stewardship for students in grades K–12.

For many students growing up in urban communities, meaningful access to green spaces and outdoor learning experiences is limited. The Urban Eco Lab will bring these opportunities directly to our campus, creating a living classroom where learning extends beyond four walls.

Planned Features

  • Outdoor Classroom

  • Green Wall & Student Garden

  • STEM Exploration Areas

  • Pollinator Habitat

  • Sustainability Features
