Yesterday, students in AP Psychology proudly showcased their knowledge and creativity during the annual AP Psych Fair, led by teacher Dr. Jennifer Ferris. As part of their final project for the course, students designed and facilitated interactive psychology experiments that allowed peers, staff, and visitors to experience psychological concepts firsthand. 🧠✨
The fair featured a variety of engaging activities and experiments, including jelly bean sensory tests that explored perception and taste, distortion goggle challenges focused on perceptual adaptation and how the brain adjusts to changes in vision, conditioning experiments demonstrating learned behaviors, and other hands-on activities connected to memory, cognition, sensation, and behavior.
Through this project, students applied the concepts they studied throughout the year in a creative and interactive way while also strengthening their presentation, collaboration, and research skills. The AP Psych Fair served as both a celebration of student learning and an exciting opportunity for the school community to experience psychology in action. Great job to all of the students for their hard work and innovation throughout the year! 👏
