Our freshmen recently had the unique opportunity to hear from CAP’s founder, Mr. Proietta, who shared personal stories from his childhood and teenage years growing up in the 1960s—a decade defined by cultural shifts and historic moments that continue to shape our world.

Through his reflections, students learned about the influence of music, films, and pivotal events, all of which helped shape Mr. Proietta’s values, perspective, and lifelong commitment to education.

More than a look back, the conversation was a reminder that CAP’s history is still very much alive. Today, Mr. Proietta continues to teach a small senior elective focused on the 1960s, offering students an intimate, first-hand connection to history through lived experience. For alumni and current families alike, his presence serves as a powerful link between CAP’s founding and its future.

Moments like these honor our past while inspiring the next generation—connecting where we began with where we are going.
