Exploring the World of Environmental Science with Ms. Sara Gallagher

Born and raised in Rhode Island, Sara Gallagher loves to be near the water and to sail. Her love for sailing stemmed from her parents living on a sail boat for most of the year. Stepping into the future, Gallagher moved to Pennsylvania to pursue her degree from University of Pennsylvania. She later then moved to Philadelphia as she pursued her graduate degree from the same university.

Gallagher has been apart of the CAP Family for 12 years. She currently teaches high school Biology, Environmental Science and AP Environmental Science. She loves her colleagues and students because there is a new challenge and surprise everyday. While she's not teaching, Gallagher enjoys cooking as a stress relieving mechanism.

We asked Sara Gallagher the following question:

What intrigued you to pursue this career?
I always loved science and biology however I frequently had teachers who were simply terrible and made a topic that I thought was so interesting, super boring! I thought I could do better.
