Reading Services
As Reading Specialists, it is our goal to foster a life-long love of reading. One of our newest programs for grades four through six is The Philadelphia Reading Olympics. This program encourages fourth, fifth, and sixth grade students to share an enthusiasm for reading and to learn collaboration skills through teamwork. Our Reading Olympics' Team meets once a week to read and discuss various genres of literature. In May, 2007, our team placed first in the city-wide competition. We are looking forward to this year's competition.
