Karate Club

Students will learn increased focus, strength and discipline through the ancient Korean Art of Tang-soo Do.

Game Club

Students will cooperatively work in pairs or groups and compete in board games.

Sign Language Club

Learn how to talk to friends and teachers in sign language.

Student Government

Students will be elected by their peers to represent the middle school. Students will be involved in fundraising and charity events throughout the year.

Math Masters

Students who are interested in sharpening their math skills or gaining assistance in math should join this club.

Moderator: Mrs. Hirsch
Meetings: 5th meets on the first and third Thursday of every month, 6th grade meets on the second and fourth Thursday of every month.

Literary Booklet

Literary Booklet Club will take stories, poems, and drawings of the students and publish them in a booklet to be shared with the Middle School. The club will be open to 5-8 for literary and artistic submissions. Anyone who joins the club will be working on layouts and editing for the booklet.

Talent Show

Any student wishing to share their talents should join this amazing opportunity.

Drill Team

This club provides students with the opportunity to show school spirit and pride through sportsmanship using rhythmic stepping and dancing patterns.

Volleyball Club

This club will engage students in learning volleyball skills and techniques for game play.

Moderator: Ms. Nicole Kain, Mr. Jason Kavistan
Meetings: Schedule given to participants in the fall. Days vary.

Chess Club

Students participating in this activity will learn strategies of the game of chess, incorporating logic and strategic maneuvers. Students participate in competition and play other schools in the Philadelphia Chess League.

Spelling Bee

Students will practice spelling and pronunciation of words and participate in competition.

Reading Olympics

The Reading Olympics Club will begin in November. Students will read from a quality book list and meet once a week to discuss their reading. Students will then test their skills in comprehension, analysis and characterization when competing in May with other schools in the Reading Olympics Competition, sponsored by the Philadelphia Reads Program. CAP Middle School is proud to announce that they have won the first three years of participating in the competition.
