Sibling Preference
The intent of the sibling preference is to keep households together for ease of transportation, par-ent/school relationships, etc. With this in mind, preference is given to the sibling of any student who is attending Community Academy of Philadelphia Charter School when the sibling is apply-ing. Siblings who are applying to attend Community Academy of Philadelphia are chosen through a sibling lottery. Both siblings must intend to attend Community Academy of Philadel-phia Charter School during the upcoming school year and their primary residence must be in the same home. Siblings must also meet all other entrance criteria.
A sibling by definition is:
- A child living in the same home and sharing the same parent/guardian.
- Biological/adoptive sibling
- Stepsibling residing in the same household
- Foster children residing in the same household
NOTE: Stepsiblings or foster children residing in different households are not considered for a sibling preference.
