Gifts make a difference

The educational and student support services offered at Community Academy are essential in the success of underserved Philadelphia youth. You, the donor, can choose an area of interest for your contribution. Your donation will assist one of the following areas:

  • Emotional Support Team - including a licensed psychiatrist, bilingual clinical counselors, therapy & social work services.
  • Day Care Center - offered at no cost to CAP student parents. A $500 donation will cover a month of daycare services helping a teenage parent completes their education.
  • Health Clinic - full-time PA licensed and certified pediatric nurse practitioner who responds to health care needs though direct care and referrals. $100 donation will purchase general nursing office supplies to help 50 students.
  • Outward Bound - Kate Svitek Memorial North Carolina Outward Bound Scholarship given to at least 10 students per academic year. Students are taught to foster leadership and social skills. A $1,200 gift will cover the expenses associated with one student participating in this wonderful experience.
  • Enrichment Activities - educational trips, speakers, school clubs and activities. All of which develop and teach leadership qualities, and social skills while developing personal interests.
  • Foreign Travel - select upper school students explore different countries of the world learning and exploring history and culture. A $2,600 gift will sponsor an overseas educational trip for a student.
  • Athletics - developing sportsmanship and competitiveness

We are extremely grateful to our supporters, without whom CAP could not implement many of the innovative programs and services that we offer.

Please continue to support these activities as they increase the opportunities available for at-risk students to achieve success. Philanthropic contributions are highly visible and important ways to demonstrate support for the extraordinary programs offered here at CAP.
